We are also in need of Greeters for our General Store. These helpful folks would welcome guests to the museum, collect admissions & help run the General Store.

A Bridge to the Past
A pride and love of history is a common thread among our docents at The Pound House. Everyday at the Farmstead there are opportunities to make discoveries of the past to share with those who come.

“Without the past there is no future.”

What can you learn from being a docent?
History of Dripping Springs, central Texas, Texas, and even the United States. Dr. Pound's background spans many areas and cultures.
What kind of training will I get? Training consists of a full tour, step-by-step directions on opening and closing procedures, and a docent script for you to take.
What are the benefits? First hand knowledge of the heritage of Dripping Springs, an opportunity to interact with the public, meet new people and share interesting stories.
Do I dress in period clothes? You can choose your preference. You may dress in period clothing  or a Farmstead polo shirt.
What is the schedule? Docents typically give tours one day a week (Wednesday-Saturday from 12-3pm; or as your schedule permits.
